saint bridget of Sweden - works
About St. Bridget of Sweden's Works:
St. Bridget is what is known as an "incult lay author". That is, she did not know Latin, and thus wrote or dictated Liber celestis revelaciones in vernacular Swedish. Her works were later translated into Latin and arranged into eight books by her confessors.
The first edition of Revelations appeared in Lübeck, Germany, in 1492. The second edition by Koberger in Nuremberg in 1500.
